These terms explain how an OceanWise Creations subscription works: what you receive, how billing and renewal work, and how to skip, pause, or cancel. By subscribing, you agree to these terms.
Plans and pricing
Monthly plan: $24.99 per month. Billed automatically every month on the date you first subscribed. One box ships each billing cycle.
Annual plan: $239.88 per year ($19.99 per issue). Billed once upfront for twelve monthly boxes. The annual plan renews automatically for another twelve issues at the end of each term unless you cancel before the renewal date.
All prices are in US dollars. Shipping within the United States is free. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout.
Founding 50 pricing
The first 50 subscribers are Founding Members. A Founding Member's price does not increase for as long as their subscription remains active. Skipping or pausing does not affect it. If a Founding Member cancels and later resubscribes, the price in effect at that time applies.
What you receive
Each box contains a four-layer laser-cut wooden ocean animal craft and a 16-page printed STEAM booklet. Art supplies are not included.
Issues ship in order. Every subscriber's first box is Issue One (Green Sea Turtle), the second is Issue Two (Great White Shark), the third is Issue Three (Giant Pacific Octopus), and so on through the twelve-issue first-year collection, regardless of the month you join. Starting issues cannot be changed. If you cancel and later resubscribe, you resume with the next issue you have not yet received.
Shipping
Your first box ships within 2 to 5 business days of subscribing. After that, each box ships on approximately the same date each month. We ship within the United States only, via USPS Ground Advantage, and send a tracking email for every shipment. If a box arrives damaged or never arrives, email us and we will send a replacement.
Renewal reminders
Before an annual plan renews, we email you a reminder at least 15 and no more than 45 days ahead of the renewal charge, including the amount and the date. Monthly plans renew every month until canceled.
Skipping and pausing
Monthly subscribers can skip a month or pause for up to three months from their account, with no fee. A skipped or paused month is not billed and no box ships. Changes must be made before your next billing date.
Annual subscribers have prepaid all twelve boxes, so their plan cannot be paused.
Cancellation
You can cancel anytime from your account's subscription settings, with no phone call required, or by emailing hello@oceanwisecreations.com.
Monthly plan: cancellation stops all future charges. Any box already paid for still ships.
Annual plan: cancellation turns off renewal. You still receive every remaining box in your current term.
Refunds
If you cancel before your first box ships, we will refund your payment in full. After the first box ships, monthly payments and annual payments are non-refundable. The annual plan's lower per-issue price depends on this.
Sibling add-ons
You can add a second child to any active subscription. A second craft is $8.99 per month (children share one booklet), and a second craft with its own booklet is $12.99 per month. Add-ons are billed monthly, ship in the same mailer as your subscription, and can be added or removed from your account at any time. If your main subscription is canceled, add-ons are canceled with it.
Gift subscriptions
Prepaid gift subscriptions will be available starting in November 2026. Gift subscriptions are paid in full upfront and never renew automatically. Gift recipients start at Issue One.
Price changes
Except for Founding Member pricing described above, we may change subscription prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Giving
5% of subscription revenue goes toward coral reef protection and restoration.
Updating your information
You can update your shipping address, payment method, and email from your account. Please make address changes at least 5 days before your next billing date.
